• Our ocean-inspired, mojito scented, handmade soap can be used on your body, hands or face. Step into the shower, lather up, shut your eyes, and transport yourself away to an idyllic (Non Plastic) Beach as you wash your cares away. Feel positively virtuous as you luxuriate free of sin (maybe) palm oil, SLS and parabens whilst also pleasing any vegans and orangutans along the way. All this from a bar of soap.
• The Box: Compostable or recyclable cardboard box, no plastic windows or coatings, just a box really.

CI77007, CI77019 Allergens naturally occurring in Essential Oils : Citral, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool, Limonene.

• People have asked about this product “does soap contain plastic?” and the answer is usually “not now micro beads have been banned’, however, there is method in our madness. Shower gel has replaced soap for many people, but that tends to come in plastic bottles, sometimes with multiple materials, making them difficult to recycle. Many soaps are wrapped in partially or fully plastic packaging and pretty much all of them contain palm oil.
• Why are we worrying about palm oil? Well the massive expansion in the use of palm oil in cooking, foods, fuel and soap has led to huge areas of virgin rain forest being cut down in Borneo, Indonesia etc. The rain forest is cleared, often with burning (releasing lots of CO2 that has been locked up for decades) and animals displaced or actively killed. Even if they are not, the monoculture of palms, which are treated with many chemicals, does not sustain the insects and animals that are left. One of the biggest (and cutest) victims of this is the Orangutan. One of our closest animal relatives is under massive threat through habitat loss and palm oil is playing a massive part of that.
• So, to summarise, at Non Plastic Beach we avoid palm oil in our house, but also in our products, because we don’t want to take away the habitat for Orangutans or any other forest fauna and flora. Orangutans are always welcome at Non Plastic Beach.
